From two family-owned companies to one efficient unit

1961:
Hammel Møbelfabrik A/S is established by Mr. Verner
Kirstensen and Mr. Søren Didriksen. Verner Kristensen runs the
business until his death in 2000.
2000:
Torben Kristensen takes over the management of the company after
his fathers death.
2003:
Hammel Møbelfabrik announces suspension of payments in
November.
2004:
Dania Capital takes over the company with Mr. Safak Suner as the
new CEO.
2005:
Production and administration are consolidated at the current
address Anbækvej in Hammel.
2008:
Claus Lykke is engaged as new CEO.
2009:
The 14th October Hammel Møbelfabrik A/S is declared
bankrupt.
The 6th November Hammel Furniture A/S is established with a new
group of 7 owners under the management of Mr. Hans Houlind, Mr.
Jens-Ole Staghøj and Mr. Bjarne Søgaard Nielsen

1960:
Gangsø Møbelfabrik A/S is established by Mr. Ejvind
Sørensen.
1964:
The company is moved to Fårvang.
1988:
IKEA becomes a customer.
1999:
A new factory is established in Erhvervsparken in Fårvang. The
turnover exceeds 200 mill. DKK.
2004-2007:
The deliveries to IKEA is phase out.
2007:
The factory in Lviv, Ukraine is established.
2008:
New group structure with several companies.
2010:
The 4th October Hammel Furniture takes over all activities of the
Gangsø companies, which subsequently are declared
bankrupt.

2011:
June: all
production of Gangsø and Hammel products is consolidated in
Hammel
